Why do you want to serve on the BSA Board of Directors?
I feel my positive attitude will help achieve unity within the board. Give back to our seniors who have been long time members/volunteers in the past and present.
I can bring over 40 yrs of customer service experience, an accounting degree with 20yrs of accounts payable and receivable experience. I have worked for two multi-million dollar companies in accounting and customer service.
What do you want to Accomplish?
I want to help maintain money however needed to keep the Senior Center up and running smoothly.
Civic And Volunteer Experience:
- Activities in senior centers in Michigan and Arizona.
- Feeding the homeless in California for over 40yrs
- Multiple fundraisers
Background Information Relevant to serving on Board
- Womens board for eagles California
- Multiple boards at Kaiser Hospital for over 20 years (such as safety).
Example of a new idea to raise money, increase membership or help the center grow
Full time greeters and people go into the community (setting up a table to advertise) the center and their activities to draw in more people to become members/ volunteers. Board along with members should be more active in volunteering. Volunteering “Volunteers” should be more appreciated and not intimidated and pushed to be overworked!
